Fix the "invalid link" error

SnaqTik · 2026-10-07

"Invalid link" means SnaqTik could not find a TikTok post in what you pasted. Usually the copy was incomplete, it is a profile or search link, or the post is private or deleted.

1. Copy the link again, the right way

In TikTok tap Share → Copy link, not the caption text. A good link starts with https:// and contains tiktok.com. Long-pressing text in a chat often copies only part of it.

2. Paste only the link

Messages forwarded from WhatsApp or Telegram often include extra words around the link. SnaqTik picks out the link automatically in most cases, but if it fails, delete everything except the https://… part.

3. Make sure it points to one post

  • ✅ vt.tiktok.com/…, vm.tiktok.com/…, tiktok.com/@name/video/…, …/photo/…
  • ❌ tiktok.com/@name (profile), tiktok.com/tag/… (hashtag), tiktok.com/search…, tiktok.com/music/…

4. Check the post still exists

Open the link in a browser. "Video currently unavailable" means the post is private, deleted, age-restricted or blocked in your region — no downloader can fetch it. See private videos for what is (and is not) possible.

5. Douyin links

Links from the Chinese Douyin app (v.douyin.com) go on the Douyin page.

Frequently asked questions

My link starts with "www.tiktok.com" without https — OK?

Yes. SnaqTik adds the missing https:// for you.

Can I paste several links at once?

Paste one link at a time on the main page so each one gets its own result.

The link works in the app but not here — why?

Some posts are only visible to logged-in or followed users. If the browser without login cannot see it, neither can SnaqTik.
