Fix "too many requests"
SnaqTik · 2026-10-07
"Too many requests" means a lot of downloads came from your connection in a short time. It is a fairness limit that keeps SnaqTik free and fast for everyone, and it clears by itself within about a minute.
Why the limit exists
SnaqTik is free and has no accounts. Without limits, a single script could fire thousands of requests a minute and slow the service for everyone else. So each connection gets a generous per-minute allowance — far more than a person pasting links by hand needs.
What usually triggers it
- Pasting dozens of links in quick succession.
- A shared connection — office, school, campus Wi-Fi or some mobile networks put many people behind one address, so you share the allowance.
- Browser extensions or bots auto-submitting links.
What to do
- Wait about a minute, then try again.
- On shared Wi-Fi, switching to mobile data gives you your own allowance.
- Downloading a whole profile? See the honest options in downloading a full profile.
"Cross-site" errors
If another website tries to use SnaqTik behind the scenes, the request is refused. Use SnaqTik directly at snaqtik.com — copycat pages that embed it are not ours.
Frequently asked questions
Am I banned?
No. The limit is temporary and resets automatically in about a minute.
Will a VPN get around it?
It may change your address, but please do not use it to hammer the service. Normal use never hits the limit.
Do you store my IP to enforce this?
No. The counter uses a scrambled (hashed) form of your address that cannot be read back, and it deletes itself within two minutes. See the privacy policy.
